Carol Strahan

December 29, 1953 — December 12, 2021

Carol was born in Canon City Colorado to loving parents Tom and Vida Ramsey. She was the only daughter of three children. As a young girl she went to vacation bible school with friends where she accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at a young age and started a lifelong walk with God. Carol grew up in Canon City and later moved to Pueblo Colorado where she graduated form Pueblo County High and met the love of her life and later husband, Jeff Strahan.

Carol grew up on her family farm and was a good old country girl at heart who did not like meat. She was taught the value of hard work and honesty by her parents and carried those ethics all through her life. She also learned to care for and help others, especially those in need-she would never pass up an opportunity or go out of her way to help or befriend anyone. Everywhere Carol went she was looking for someone to share her love and kindness with.

Carol and Jeff were married on September 5, 1972 in Lubbock Texas. They moved to Pueblo and had the first of three children, Kim. Carol and Jeff moved to Utah in 1974 where they settled in Ogden and had two more children, Andy and Scott. Carol worked for her family’s scrap metal business for nearly 30 years as a scale house and office worker and helped her dad grow the business into a very successful operation. Carol later owned and operated Tri-City Storage in Farr West and she took great pride in maintaining and providing the best storage facility around. She loved her loyal and faithful tenants and went above and beyond to make sure they were pleased with the facility.

Carol’s true passion was taking care of her family, friends and especially her children. There was nothing she wouldn’t do to make sure that her family was happy. She devoted her time to children, hers and others, she loved to spend time in the nursery and with young children in her church. Many of the children she worked with at church adopted her as a “grandma” and she absolutely loved it, her AWANA kids were very near and dear to her heart. She was a fantastic daughter and made sure to spend time with her parents, she visited them often and was as much a joy to them as they were to her. In everything Carol did she cared for and loved others, her love of Jesus showed in her life actions and care for others. Carol also loved to do anything active or with friends. She loved to walk, play Bunko and Train with her very dear friends, read a good book and spend time with family and friends as well as her spoiled little Shi-tzu,Muffin. She was a huge Denver Broncos fan and loved to watch them win.

Carol is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Merrill Ramsey by three hours and we like to believe he took her to show him around heaven. She is survived by her mother, Vida Mae Ramsey, Plain City; husband, Jeffery William, Hooper; brothers, Ron Ramsey, Syracuse; Jim and Terri Ramsey, Florida; her children, Kim Wiles (Brad), Andy (January) and Scott; grandchildren, Austin Wiles, Thomas Strahan, Brooklyn Wiles and William Strahan; nieces and nephews, Tammy, Shawn, Mandy, Julie, John, Miranda and Skyler and many more extended family members. There are countless others who counted her as a special adopted grandma. Also her many friends, whom she called her “sisters”…you know who you are.

To know Carol was to love her and she loved you back. She was a best friend to all whom she met and only wanted to love and be loved with no strings attached. She will be forever missed and cherished until we meet again in Heaven……..

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Carol’s Church, Kaysville Bible Church, 181 North Flint St., Kaysville UT. The family will meet with friends on Friday December 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary,3333 W. 5600 S., Roy UT.

Burial will be at Hooper Cemetery, 5301 S. 6300 W. Hooper UT.

In lieu of flowers, Carol would have liked for you to donate to one of her favorite charities; ASPCA, K-love, your local church, a charity of your choice or help someone in need.
